Lieutenant Ivona Dukić, Administration Branch United Way Representative, gives a thumbs-up for the tremendous success at the Kick-off United Way Pancake Breakfast. Guests, Katie Murphy, R&QSSO; Colonel Hamel, CFB Borden/CFSTG Commander; CFB Borden/CFSTG Chief Warrant Officer Thibault and Lieutenant-Colonel Hart, CF H & Services TC Commandant, were prepared with their tools to serve the delicious pancakes, sausages, potatoes and yummy beans.
PSOAs Muscle
Webmaster's aside: I heard someone on tv last night talking about the Psoas muscle. It turns out that the Psoas forms part of a group of muscles called the hip flexors, whose action is primarily to lift the upper leg towards the body when the body is fixed or to pull the body towards the leg when the leg is fixed.
What caught my attention was that it is spelled like our association and also that it is pronounced "sore ass"
After sitting through years of PSOA's AGMs, I think that form of pronunciation rather is quite fitting.
Lt(N) Bailey

Lt(N) Keith Bailey has received the CEF Commander's commendation.

I hope you would join me in passing a Bravo Zulu to Keith in the performance of his duties under arduous conditions.

PSOA Ottawa Beer Call
Any and all interested personnel to attend a PSOA RPC 5 Jun 09 at the Army Officers' Mess. As the summer posting plot has created considerable change within the National Capital Region, an informal gathering would be ideal to foster new professional networks.
For those interested, we will be gathering in the Main Lounge 1400-1600 hours Friday 5 Jun 09. The building is located 149 Somerset Street West, Ottawa, Ontario, K2P 0H7; Tel 613-236-0186 local 227. Please note: mess regulations prohibit the wearing of Jeans.
So, should your schedule permit, please join us as we shake off the Weekly Grind; come out and enjoy the company of new peers and old friends as we welcome all to the Ottawa area.

Fishin Accomplished
For the past 10 years or so, Majors Mombourquette, and Morrow and LCols Uchiyama and Grandmaison have gone fishing. This year's trip was successful but as Major Brown pointed out, 'fishing should not be a fashion show'.
