From Don Morrison: Last time I addressed the Branch it was to tell you all that I was departing under the guise of an OT to AEC. Well, everything changed on 8 Aug 06 when my wife (Tammy) and I were surprised by our little daughter Summer...10.5 weeks early to be exact. There were a number of complications and we spent the next 8 weeks away from home in several hospitals in Toronto. Thankfully everything turned out fine (so far) but my desire to start a new career by leaving my family for 5 months evaporated quite quickly. I asked to be re-coursed and the Air Force graciously agreed. While marking time with the CF Recruiting Detachment in North Bay I learned of a new organization that will be stood up in Jan/Feb 07. After some thought I approached Maj Labonte about a reassignment back to PSEL and the rest is almost history (Pierre assures me the cheque is in the mail). You may be interested to know that there will be a PSO heading a small standards team in the fledgling CF National Recruiting Contact Centre based out of North Bay, Ontario. I am especially grateful to Pierre and Col Lamerson for being so flexible with my request to come back. I will send out a more detailed announcement of the new unit (including our involvement in it) closer to the ribbon cutting ceremony at the end of Jan. Merry Christmas to all.

>From Elisa Cass nee Warren: Thought I should let you know that Richard and I got married on the "No problem" Island of Jamaica on 14 Mar 06 at the "Sandal's Grande Ocho Rios Villa Resort". Our engagement was roughly 2.5 weeks long. No - I'm not pregnant! We had a limited opportunity to get away this year i.e.March Break. As such, the whole thing came together in about a week.
Weather was great. The ceremony was private -just the two of us. We were marriage couple "number 6" of 8 that day . Kind of like Vegas as far as quick weddings go. Had a great time. Main reason for my e-mail is to advise you of my name change. I'm now Elisa Cass (vice Warren). It may take approx a week for the email account to switch over. Cheers, Elisa.
